In accordance with PM&DC Medical and Dental Undergraduate Education (Admissions, Curriculum and Conduct) Policy and Regulations 2023, the basic eligibility criteria for admissions are as follows:

  • Minimum 60% (660/1100) marks, in HSSC Pre-Medical or an equivalent 12th grade qualification (passed the subjects of Biology, Chemistry and either Physics or Mathematics) recognized in Pakistan.
  • Passed the Medical & Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2024 with minimum 55% marks for MBBS and 50% marks for BDS.

The Weightage Formula for admission is as follows:

  • MDCAT of PM&DC = 50%
  • F.Sc(Pre-Medical)/HSSC/Equivalent = 40%
  • SSC/Matriculation/Equivalent = 10%

  • All Pakistani citizens (including AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan) are eligible to compete for Open Merit Seats. Additionally, they will be considered under their respective domicile quotas, making them eligible for both open merit and domicile-based reserved seats.
  • The candidates desirous for admission against quota needs to submit a document issued by concerned authority certifying that applicant is eligible against the quota i.e. domicile certificate, Federal Government Employees Certificate, disability certificate.

Yes, use your Form-B (Children Registration Certificate) number and Apply for your CNIC at NADRA on an urgent basis.

  • Domicile of the candidate is mandatory for admission in the respective quota.
  • Foreign/Overseas Pakistani /residents with dual nationality do not require a domicile for the Foreign/Overseas quota seats.
  • Foreign student means a student who is not a Pakistani Student and holds foreign/dual nationality and overseas Pakistani as elaborated under Regulation 4(7) of PM&DC Medical and Dental Undergraduate Education (Admissions, Curriculum and Conduct) Policy and Regulations 2023.
  • Applicant must upload one of the following document: Valid Iqama or Residence Permit or Green Card or Foreign Passport
  • Note: For candidates residing in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), it is mandatory to submit a digital copy of their Iqama downloaded from the Absher or Ministry of Interior, KSA, official website, displaying the expiry date of the permit, along with the printed copy of their Iqama.
  • Identity documents with an expiry date that has passed before the application deadline shall not be accepted under any circumstances.

You can apply for admission through our online application portal on the university website by following these steps

  1. Create an account
    • Click on this link to register.
    • Enter valid Email address.
    • Enter your password/confirm password.
    • Enter your CNIC Date of Issue.
    • Enter captcha code in text field.
    • Click Register button.
  2. Login to the Portal
    • Add Personal Information
    • Add National MDCAT Information
    • Add Academic Information
    • Upload the required documents
    • Apply separately for medical or dental program
    • Take a print of the application processing fee challan
    • Separate Application Processing Fees will be charged for MBBS and BDS Programs, which are non-refundable/non-adjustable: MBBS: 3000/- & BDS: 3000/-
    • The application form, once submitted, cannot be changed by the applicant.

The entire process of submission of application is online; hence, there is no need to submit a hard copy of application to the University.

The last date for submission of the online application is 20-01-2025

  • Applicants applying for admissions shall give an order of preference for Public Sector Medical and Dental Colleges.
  • A college not included in the preference list of applicant shall not be considered for grant of admission.

The following documents are required to be uploaded online

  • Passport size photograph of the candidate with blue background.
  • Valid CNIC/CRC/NICOP of the candidate.
  • Matriculation (SSC) Certificate /Equivalence Certificate of O-Level/10th Grade issued by IBCC.
  • Matriculation (SSC) Transcript/O-Level/10th Grade Transcript.
  • HSSC Pre-Medical Certificate /Equivalence Certificate of A-Level/12th Grade issued by IBCC.
  • HSSC Pre-Medical Transcript/A-Level/12th Grade Transcript.
  • Domicile Certificate of the candidate.
  • Proof of residence/property/education or any tangible evidence of stay in region of domicile.
  • PM&DC MDCAT 2024 Result Certificate
  • Application processing paid fee challan (Separate for MBBS and BDS)
  • Disability Certificate issued by Federal/Provisional Government Disability Board describing the nature of disability (For seats of disabled quota only).
  • Parent employment certificate issued by relevant Federal Government institution (For seats of Federal Govt. Employees only).

The following documents are required to be uploaded online

  • Passport size photograph of the candidate with blue background.
  • Valid NICOP/ Passport of the candidate.
  • Valid Iqama or Residence Permit or Green Card or Foreign Passport
  • SSC/O-Level/10th Grade Transcript issued by concerned foreign University/High School/Board and showing his/her subjects.
  • SSC/O-Level/10th Grade Equivalence Certificate issued by Inter Board Coordination Commission (IBCC).
  • HSSC Pre-Medical /A-Level/12th Grade Transcript issued by concerned foreign University/High School/Board and showing his/her subjects.
  • HSSC Pre-Medical Certificate /Equivalence Certificate of A-Level/12th Grade issued by Inter Board Coordination Commission (IBCC).
  • PM&DC MDCAT 2024 Result Certificate
  • Application processing paid fee challan (Separate for MBBS and BDS)

Original scan documents to be uploaded in JPEG or JPG format only and the file size should not exceed 800KB per document

Yes, as per "PM&DC Medical and Dental Undergraduate Education (Admissions, Curriculum and Conduct) Policy and Regulations 2023" Admissions to medical and dental programs shall be conducted separately and each student shall be required to apply separately to a medical or dental program. Without application submission to respective program no student is eligible for admission.

Yes, a separate application processing fee will be charge for MBBS and BDS Programs which is non-refundable/non-adjustable

  • MBBS = 3000/-
  • BDS = 3000/-
  • Applicants applying on disabled quota seats must furnish disability certificate from a Federal/Provincial Government Disability Board describing the nature of disability and other relevant documents before Medical Examination Board of SZABMU.
  • Certificate issued by public/private medical practitioner shall not be considered.

No separate call letters will be issued for interviews/placement etc. All such information will be available on the official website of SZABMU www.szabmu.edu.pk till the completion of the admission process.

You can check the status of your application through the online application portal either it is submitted/incomplete.

If you need to defer your admission, you should contact the admissions office

The selected applicant shall have to deposit their fee and original documents (after securing position in merit list) to the respective college within due date, failing which the provisional admission will be deemed cancelled and the next applicant on the waiting merit list will be offered admission in order to facilitate timely completion of admission process.

Yes, all admitted students are required to attend an orientation session before the start of the academic year.

  • The applicant is solely responsible for uploading the correct documents in the appropriate manner. Failure to upload the correct documents will lead to the rejection of the applicant application without any notice for which the university shall not be responsible.
  • The University shall cancel any provisional admission where the credentials of a student are not verified at any stage of the process.
  • A student who is found to have forged their secondary school certificate, high school certificate / degree or presented a false document shall be barred from applying to any medical or dental college in Pakistan in the future and the admission of the applicant shall stand cancelled.
